Decent info, small issue

I bought the Food Editing Course and the content itself was pretty good. It had some useful techniques for post-processing that definitely upped my game. The videos were clear enough and easy to follow along. However, I had a little trouble finding one of the specific files mentioned in a lesson; it took me a few minutes of digging around the site to locate it. It wasn't a huge deal, but could be smoother. Delivery was instant though, which was good.

Good course for the price

I was looking for some guidance on food photography without spending a ton. I got the Beginner Food Photography Guide during a sale, which helped a lot. The content was pretty solid for a first-timer like me. It covered the basics well, and I felt like I got good value for what I paid. Happy with the purchase overall.

Helped my blog photos

So, I've been trying to make my food blog photos look better for a while, and it was a struggle. My friend told me about these courses, so I gave the Food Blog Photography Course a shot. It was actually really helpful! I picked up a bunch of tips for lighting and composition. My photos look way more appetizing now, which is exactly what I wanted. Totally worth it for anyone trying to up their food blog game.

Hey, thinking of grabbing the Dessert Photography Guide. Do I need a fancy DSLR or can I get by with my phone for now?

M Michelle Thomas 3 weeks ago
They actually have a Mobile Food Photography Course, so I'd imagine you can definitely get good results with a phone, especially for a specific guide like dessert. Don't need a pro camera to start.

D Danielle Ramirez 3 weeks ago
Nah, you're good with a phone. The principles are the same, and they even have courses for mobile. Focus on lighting and composition first, gear can come later.

How do these courses compare to, say, Skillshare or Udemy? Is it worth paying more here?

K Kevin Garcia 2 weeks ago
I've done courses on both. Food Photography Guides is way more focused. Like, it's just food photography, so the instructors are usually specialists. Skillshare can be hit or miss with quality.

For food stuff specifically, I'd say this place is better. More in-depth and tailored. Udemy is great for general photography but not as niche.

Are there ever any BOGO deals on courses? Or is it mostly just percentage off sales?

H Hannah Scott 2 weeks ago
I've seen BOGO deals, yeah! Usually around Black Friday or specific holidays. Keep an eye out then.

They do BOGO sometimes! Not super often, but I remember seeing one for courses around Christmas last year. Definitely not just percentages.

Anyone know if they do student discounts? I'm trying to learn food photography but my budget is super tight right now.

L Linda Gomez 2 weeks ago
They do! I got one when I signed up last semester. You usually just need to verify your student status somehow.

Yeah, I think I saw something about that in their FAQ. Worth checking out, could save you a good chunk of change.

What's the return policy like if I buy a course and it's not really what I expected?

S Sarah Evans 2 weeks ago
I had to return a course once, it was pretty straightforward. Think they have a 30-day window or something similar, just check their policy page.

B Brittany Torres 2 weeks ago
Yeah, returns are fine. Just make sure you initiate it within their refund period, which is usually generous enough to figure out if it's for you.
